Stefan Kaegi

Conference

27.05.2016—11h00

Duration 2:00 – In french

Anyone who wants to know what Stefan Kaegi and the strangely named “Rimini Protokoll” trio are doing has to rethink the meaning of the terms “reality” and “fiction.” Rimini Protokoll draws its themes from the very essence of reality. The projects are constructed based on exhaustive research on existing situations in their actual locations. For its productions, the group always works with amateurs called “experts” encountered during the research phase.

Transplanted experts and tele-guided spectators

What do Indian Call Centres know about Berlin? How will artificial intelligence lead a horde of spectators through Avignon and New York? Where can we watch Parliamentary Europe from our living rooms? Why can the global arms trade be made real to us via digital tablets in a studio? Stefan Kaegi shows and comments on the videos of his interactive theatre and his interventions in the public space.

Language - French

Entry to the parallel events is free.
Reservations are required: billetterie du Théâtre de Carouge - Atelier de Genève
